third extensions. At 24 minutes, the %B solvent strength
returned to zero. Before the final minute elapsed, more
compound was detected, causing PeakTrak to extend the run
for a final five minutes at the minimum %B.
Enable rapid equilibration – select this option to
equilibrate the column at a high flow rate.
Due to the high pressure that is possible during rapid
equilibration, this option may not be desirable for some
column media or purification methods.
2.13.3 Fraction Collector
Use this tab to configure the Torrent to control up to four Foxy
R2 High Flow fraction collectors. This tab is also used to
configure the Torrent for use with a Fractionation Valve.
Foxy fraction collector(s) should be connected to the Torrent
via a straight-through network cable. To communicate with
each fraction collector, the IP address settings on this tab must
match the IP address set in each fraction collector. Note that
all IP addresses must be unique. Refer to the fraction collector
user manual to set the address of each module.
Note
The optional Foxy R2 High Flow fraction collector does not support
DHCP. If you are adding the Torrent module with optional Foxy R2
High Flow fraction collectors to your organization’s network, a
static IP address must be assigned to each fraction collector.
Contact your IT department for assistance.
A delay volume must also be specified for each Foxy connected
as a system. If using the Fractionation Valve instead, a delay
volume should also be entered. The delay volume entries
ensure that the tube changes occur when the peak fluids are
present at the fraction collector diverter valve.
If using the factory-cut tubing provided with the Foxy R2 High
Flow fraction collectors or Fractionation Valve, enter the
following as applicable:
Foxy 1 Delay Volume – 20 mL
