2. Prepare the Sample Load pump to receive the sample.

If the sample mixture will be transferred to the pump,

insert the cartridge onto the pump inlet (Figure 3-7, Left).

Then, fill the cartridge with the mixture.

If you will transfer the sample mixture directly from a con-

tainer, attach the tubing to the pump inlet (Figure 3-7,

Right). Place the weighted end into the mixture container.

3. Place the On/Off (I/O) switch in the On position. Adjust the

pump speed using the control knob.

4. When the desired sample volume has been loaded, place

the On/Off (I/O) switch in the Off position.

Note

After use, always pump clean solvent through the Sample Load

Pump to remove sample residue.

Note

Some of the sample mixture will remain in the tubing before the

automated injection valve. In most applications, pump a chase

solution to force the sample mixture through the injection valve. To

do so, repeat steps 2 through 4 using a suitable chase solvent.
